PREPARATORY DIVISION
Ballet Chicago's Preparatory Division classes provide an inspired introduction to the arts with a focus on group interaction, motor skill development, and creative self-expression.
Enrollment includes the opportunity to perform in our annual production of The Nutcracker at the Athenaeum Center for Thought and Culture in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood and the Harris Theater for Music and Dance downtown as well as our annual in-studioSchool Performance.

General Dress Code Information:
​Preparatory Division students are encouraged to wear tutus and tiaras/tunics and crowns so they can experience the full joy of being a young ballerina or danseur!
​
Leotard & Tutu: Color of choice. Tutu optional.
​
Tights: Pink and Flesh color tights are welcome.
Ballet Slippers: Leather shoes that match the color of the tights with a single elastic (no criss crossed elastics).
